Michaela teaches the five most important things about writing.
"I was outside as the children were going out, and one of the little ones was reciting Knock Knock to their Mum. It's really nice when they feel they can do that."
Troy Jenkinson, Head, Stathern Primary School.

"We have received really strong feedback during Michaela’s week with us from all sectors of the school – from nursery to year 6 children, from parents and from teachers. Her stay with us has been very positive, and helped the children become more enthusiastic about poetry and about reading generally. This has been a great week for Ashfield Park Primary.“
Mr Best, Head Teacher
Ashfield Park Primary, Ross-on-Wye

"The workshops have worked very well with all classes. Some are making their own books right now. One Teaching Assistant even asked if you could come back tomorrow and do it all again!"
Rachel de Wet, Literacy Coordinator,
Uppingham C of E Primary, Uppingham.

The Children were so excited. Some girls were actually shaking when we told them - "A real author, here!". It's been a really good day. Great."
Lorna Ockwell, Literacy Coordinator,
St Augustine's Primary, Stamford.

"We all thoroughly enjoyed your visit. Everyone loves the poem and we are continuing to work on it."
Denise Durham, Head,
Danesholme Infants School, Corby.

"It's been brilliant. The look on the children's faces in assembly when they realised you were speaking in rhyme - you could just watch as they realised there was a whole new way of doing things. It has been a very successful day. The children and the teachers have loved it."
Helen Pegg, Acting Head,
Astley Primary School, Melton Constable.

Michaela at Oakham Library"Thank you for bringing reading magic to our school. Your wonderful workshops have inspiried children and staff, and in each classroom I can see children excited to continue the work you have begun. The children and the staff are buzzing!"
Shireen Babul, School Librarian,
Chalkhill Primary, Brent.

"I just wanted to thank you again for today. Everyone agreed that it all went really well, the staff and children are buzzing and all further inspired to reach and write. For myself, I will be carring a little notepad around and trying desperately to jot down ideas for writing!"
Jan Tate,
Glapthorn CE Lower School.
